A visit by Kent Police licencing officers at a pub in Northfleet has resulted in a customer being charged with drug offences.
Officers visited the pub in London Road, Northfleet, on Saturday 19 November 2022 as part of a proactive operation to target pub goers who are using and dealing drugs inside licenced premises across the district.
While inside the venue a man was seen concealing what was believed to be cocaine inside his underwear.
Machete
He was arrested and a further search was completed at an address and various drug related items were seized including several quantities of cocaine and cannabis, mobile phones and a large amount of cash. A machete was also seized.
A man aged 36, from Northfleet, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis and acquiring criminal property.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 21 November where he was remanded in custody. He is due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 19 December.
