An investigation into drug dealing in Hoo has resulted in a man being charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.

On the morning of Tuesday 17 January 2023 officers from Medway’s Community Policing Team searched an address in Maple Road, Strood, where they arrested a man on suspicion of drug offences.

While inside the house officers also seized four mobile phones, 37 bags of cannabis and drugs paraphernalia.

This is the third warrant carried out by the team since September 2022 in response to reports of drug dealing in Hoo.

As part of the ongoing work officers have already arrested four men and one woman, on suspicion of drug offences. They have all been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.

Viagra and Diazepam

To date, officers have recovered drugs with a street value of more than £87,000, which includes cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy tablets. Prescription drugs including Viagra and Diazepam have also been seized along with more than £4,500 in cash.

Charged

 Tyreece Brown St Pier , 20, from Strood, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.

He was charged on Tuesday 17 January and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 18 January where he was remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 15 February 2023.
