Two arrests have been made in connection with car thefts after officers stopped a suspicious vehicle in Medway.
While on duty in Maidstone Road, Bredhurst, during the afternoon of Friday 20 January 2023, officers from the Tactical Operations Unit noticed a car believed to be involved in crime.
It was stopped and following a search, officers found vehicle parts, suspected to be stolen, as well as tools and keys. Further enquiries led to a quantity of cash and other car keys seized.
Two 23-year-old men from Gillingham were arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and handling stolen goods. One of the men was further arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with an incident in Rainham which had taken place the night before.
Both men have been released on bail until 7 April pending further enquiries.
