Police are keen to find witnesses following a brutal attack in Gravesend in which a man was seriously assaulted.
The victim was reported to have been injured by two men at 7.50am on Saturday 4 February in Hillingdon Road.
As he attempted to unlock his van two suspects are alleged to have approached him before one of them punched him, causing him to fall to the floor.
While on the ground, the offenders continued to assault the victim and are alleged to have used a metal pole to inflict head injuries.
The man was also kicked in his back and shoulder before he was able to get into his vehicle and drive to a nearby road where he called 999.
Following the incident the victim received medical treatment for head, back and shoulder injuries. He has since been discharged from hospital.
One suspect has been described as white and wearing a black jacket and black woolly hat. The second suspect has been described as black and wearing a balaclava over his face, a black jacket and black biker gloves.
Both offenders were aged in their early 20s and were between five feet 10 inches and six feet tall.
Officers are seeking witnesses who may have seen the men matching the same description. People with CCTV or doorbell footage and motorists with dash cam footage are also urged to get in touch.
