The drone deployed by Kent Police
Officers have used local knowledge and a drone to locate a stolen Range Rover in a rural area near Maidstone.
On Wednesday 1 February 2023, Kent Police was notified that a tracker on a car had activated in Staplehurst.
The vehicle, which was taken during a reported burglary in Cliffe Woods on 25 January, had been shown to be stationary but started to move off.
Drone deployed
Patrols attended the area and, after ascertaining it was likely to be in a gated compound near the village, deployed a drone to confirm it was there.
Officers travelled to the compound and recovered the car. It is now undergoing forensic examination to identify those responsible for the theft.
