Witnesses are being sought following a fatal collision near Farningham.

At around 10.50pm on Saturday 11 February 2023, a Red VW Polo GTI was travelling towards Farningham on the A20 Gorse Hill when it was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes Sprinter travelling in the opposite direction.

Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service arrived at the scened near the junction with Eglantine Lane.

Fatal collision

A passenger in the VW, a woman in her late teens, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Four other occupants in the VW were taken to hospital where two remain, one in a serious but stable condition and the other in a stable condition. 

Two men believed to be the drivers of the vehicles were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and were later bailed to return to the police station.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is carrying out enquiries and officers are appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
