A teenage boy has been charged with carrying out a robbery in Herne Bay.
The victim, a teenage boy, sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound and had his phone stolen following an altercation in the Avenue Road area of the town at around 10.30pm on Thursday 9 February 2023.
The victim, required hospital treatment for his injury. Officers later recovered the phone.
Following an investigation by the Kent Crime Squad, a 16-year-old boy from the Herne Bay area was arrested in relation to the incident.
The suspect has since been charged with robbery, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing a flick knife and possessing cannabis.
He appeared before Folkestone Youth Court on Monday 20 February and was bailed to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday 3 March.
