Two people have been charged with robbery after a man was injured in Rochester.

Kent Police was called on Friday 17 February 2023 to a report that a man had been hurt after two people had broken into a property in Shorts Way, Rochester at around 11.45pm.

Officers arrived and a man was taken to a local hospital with injuries, consistent with stab wounds to his head and hands. He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

In the early hours of Tuesday 21 February officers from Kent Police’s County Line and Gangs Team arrested a man and two women in connection with the incident.

A 26 year old man from Bedford, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and robbery.

A 33-year-old woman from Rochester, has been charged with robbery.

They both appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 22 February where the man was remanded and the woman bailed.

They are both due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 22 March.

A 38-year-old woman of no fixed address who was also arrested has been bailed until 19 May pending further enquiries.
