Casualty passed to paramedics after kitchen fire in Gravesend

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a kitchen fire at a house in Bartlett Road, Gravesend just after 3.30pm on Friday. 

Two fire engines rushed to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze. 

One person was passed into the care of South East Coast ambulance paramedics as a precaution, after suffering smoke inhalation. 

KFRS’ Volunteer Response Team also attended to offer advice and support to affected residents. 

The cause is as yet unknown.
