Kent Police received a report at around 4.30pm on Monday 27 February 2023 that a member of staff had sustained a hand injury during an incident in which three diamond rings were stolen from a commercial premises in The Parade.
A suspect was detained by a member of staff assisted by security staff. He was later arrested by police.
Charged
Following an investigation into the incident, a man aged 38, of no fixed address, was charged with one count of robbery and appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 1 March. He was remanded to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
