Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Dartford town centre at around 8.30pm on Friday 17 March 2023 when a man in his 50s was outside a bookmakers in the High Street and approached by a group of young people.

It is reported members of the group demanded he hand over some money and, feeling threatened, he gave them a quantity of cash.

The victim was then allegedly punched and fell to the floor where he was kicked. He suffered cuts and bruising during the incident. The suspects are described as being a group of around 12 young men and a young woman accompanied by a child.

PC Ben Johnson, of North Kent CID, said: ‘An investigation is underway into the circumstances and we are urging witnesses or anybody with information to call our appeal line.

‘Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for footage that may assist.’
