Three Kent Fire and Rescue Service fire engines were called shortly before 2.00pm today (20 April) to reports of a shed fire which had spread to neighbouring gardens and fence in Queensway, Lydd.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the flames and were stood down just after 2.30pm

It’s believed the fire started in an alleyway waste bin and spread to nearby gardens. The exact cause is unknown.

No injuries were reported.
