Officers investigating a collision involving an e-scooter and a pedestrian in Ashford are appealing for witnesses.

The incident is reported to have occurred at about 9.28pm on Saturday 22 April 2023 in Torrington Road when the e-scooter collided with a pedestrian before leaving the scene. A boy of primary school age was taken to a local hospital after suffering a broken leg.

The rider of the e-scooter is described as a white male in his early twenties, 6ft 1inches tall, of medium build and clean shaven. He was believed to be wearing a black snood or mask, white jogging bottoms and a black coat. The e-scooter had a distinctive larger rear wheel and gold rear suspension.
