Witnesses are sought after a car that had been reported stolen was driven dangerously in Chatham

At 3.20pm on Monday 24 April 2023, officers saw a suspicious silver Citroen Picasso in Wyndham Road and required it to stop.

It did not stop and, following a short pursuit, came to a halt in Albany Road. Officers arrested a man and a woman and later detained two further men. 

The woman and two of the men were released on bail pending further investigation. The third man remains in police custody while the investigation continues. 

Investigating officer, PC Andrew Day, said: ‘The car pursued by the patrol is alleged to have been driven in a dangerous manner and collided with other vehicles before it came to a halt. 

‘We are appealing for anybody who witnessed the incident to contact our appeal line.’
