A suspect has been charged after a man was injured during an incident in Whitstable.

Kent Police was called to a report that a van had collided with a pedestrian in the John Wilson Business Park at 9.20am on Thursday 11 May 2023.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a local hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.

Following enquiries by East Kent CID, a man has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The 48-year-old, from Whitstable, is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 12 May.
