A request from Dover Coastguard saw the Whitstable Atlantic 85 lifeboat Lewisco launch to assist a motor cruiser with engine problems in The Swale at 6.55pm on Saturday evening.
The lifeboat crew located the casualty vessel at anchor and assisted with re-starting the engine in the 35ft craft.
The lifeboat escorted the vessel and its two man crew to Conyer Marina.
There were no reports of any casualties.
