A suspect has been charged with multiple offences after cars were damaged in Whitstable.
Between the evening of Saturday 18 and the morning of Sunday 19 February 2023, a number of cars in the Harwich Street area had windows, bodywork and wing mirrors damaged.
Following enquiries by Canterbury’s Victim Based Crime Team, an 18-year-old man has been charged with 11 counts of criminal damage in relation to the incidents.
Offensive weapon
The man is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon, namely a plank of wood, on Monday 15 May; assaulting an emergency worker on the same date; assaulting an 18-year-old woman in the town on Sunday 19 February and stealing wine from a supermarket on Sunday 1 January.
The suspect from Whitstable, has been bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 11 August.
