A county line drug dealer who was arrested by officers in Folkestone has been jailed for five and a half years.
Plain clothes officers on patrol in the town in November 2022 watched Lueul Ehdego acting suspiciously in the Cheriton Road area.
Officers attempted to stop him but he ran off and was chased and arrested by police nearby.
He was seen to discard objects as he ran, one of which was found to be a package containing 38 wraps of cocaine and heroin.
A further search of the area uncovered a phone which, analysis showed, had been used to run the ‘Mr King’ county line in the area between September and November 2022.
Ehdego, from New Romney, was charged with and later convicted of being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine.
The 26-year-old was jailed for five years and six months at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 15 May 2023.

‘The tenacity of patrolling officers in Folkestone, and the thorough investigation which followed Ehdego’s arrest, has helped secure this conviction and take a county line dealer off the town’s streets for a number of years.’
