Two men charged over knife possession after disturbance in Canterbury village

Two suspects are to appear in court charged in connection with a disturbance in Chartham.

At around 7am on Wednesday 17 May 2023, Kent Police was called to a report of two people seen walking in the Bolts Hill area with knives. 

Officers attended and, following a search of the area, made two arrests.

The men aged 29 and 34 from Chartham, were each charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

They were bailed to attend Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 20 June.
