A teenager and a woman have been charged by police investigating thefts from handbags in Sittingbourne.
On Saturday 25 March 2023 a woman reported that £60 had been taken from her purse while she was shopping at a store in the High Street.

On Thursday 6 April 2023 a couple reported they had £5,000, that they had just withdrawn from the bank, taken from their bag while they were in Central Avenue.
On Saturday 20 May 2023, a 17-year-old girl was charged with two counts of theft.
A 37-year-old woman from Enfield was also charged with two counts of theft.
Both were due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 20 May 2023.
