Two fire crews were called to reports of blaze in the eaves and soffits of two neighbouring properties shortly after midday on Sunday 28 May.

The drama followed a fence catching alight in Rayham Road, Whitstable.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames using a high-pressure hose reel jet, before checking for further fire spread into roof spaces.

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
