Maidstone residents and drivers are urged to check for any CCTV or dashcam footage following allegations of a sexual assault in a park.

The assault is reported to have happened in an area of Oakwood Park near Queen’s Road, on Monday 29 May 2023. The incident involved a teenage girl and happened between 5pm and 6pm. It is alleged the suspect ran away when the victim raised the alarm and alerted nearby friends.

Description

The man is said to have left the area in a black car, which had blacked out windows and no visible wing mirrors. The vehicle appeared to have damage to the driver’s side window. The suspect was described by the victim as Asian, possibly of Indian descent. He was short and had a beard.

Investigating officers are continuing to pursue several lines of enquiry and are asking people in nearby roads to check any security systems, including doorbell cameras which may show the suspect’s movements. Motorists who travel in this area should also review dashcams.
