The fight against drug crime in north Kent has scored another victory as police discovered drugs in two separate raids last week.

On Thursday, June 1, a team of Kent Police officers stormed a house in London where they found a stash of crack cocaine and heroin. They also recovered a mobile phone and some stolen goods.

Officers arrested a 25-year-old man, from Woolwich who was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, and three counts of handling stolen goods.

The man appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 2 June, where he was remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday 30 June.

Meanwhile, another group of officers spotted a suspicious car in Northfleet. They followed it until it stopped in South Kent Avenue and saw the driver throw a black bag out of the window.

Police retrieved the bag and found it contained cocaine and cannabis. They arrested the driver, a 24-year-old man, who was later released on bail.

These arrests are part of an ongoing operation by Kent Police to crack down on drug crime in the area and making the streets safer.
