Pole with blade attached sought after Folkestone fracas

It was reported that three men were involved in an altercation in Marshall Street, Folkestone at around 6.40pm on Saturday 27 May 2023 in which one of the men was seen to hold an object described as a pole with a bladed object attached to the end.

Police arrived at the scene and following enquiries in the area, arrested a 36-year-old man of no fixed address on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was released on bail to 21 August while the investigation continues.

Officers are keen to speak to the other two men to establish the circumstances of the incident and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
