While thunderstorms and torrential downpours are expected to break out in South East England during Monday according to the latest Met Office forecast issued 10:00 (UTC+1) on Sun 11 Jun 2023, the storms are not predicted to affect Kent.
Met Office forecasters say the storms will be slow moving and intense leading to some large accumulations with in excess of 30 mm in an hour for some locations and the potential for 60-80 mm or more in a few hours where thunderstorms align for a time.
Frequent lightning and hail are likely to be additional hazards.
The alert runs until 9.00pm on Monday.

- Greater London
- Milton Keynes
- Oxfordshire
- Reading
- Slough
- Surrey
- West Berkshire
- Windsor and Maidenhead
