A motorcyclist in his 50s suffered serious injuries after crashing with a silver Ford Mondeo Estate on the M2.

The accident occurred on Saturday 10 June, around 11am, on the coastbound lane near junction 5.

The motorcyclist was riding a black Kawasaki. They were both attended by police and ambulance crews and the motorcyclist was flown to a London hospital by helicopter.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is looking into the cause of the crash and asking for witnesses to come forward. They want to hear from anyone who saw the vehicles before the collision or who has dashcam footage that could help the investigation.
