Detectives seek witnesses after Canterbury robbery

Kent Crime Squad detectives are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that took place in Canterbury in the early hours of Friday 19 May 2023.

According to the report, a group of young people aged between late teens and early twenties were walking in Dane John Gardens when they were confronted by an unknown man who threatened them and demanded their belongings.

The man allegedly stole two phones, two bank cards and a pair of headphones from two of the victims before running away towards the park. The victims followed him for a short distance before he turned back and disappeared.

The detectives have reviewed all the available CCTV footage and have released two images of the same man who they believe could help them with their investigation.
