Two suspects were arrested by Sittingbourne officers in a stunning display of police work, just 20 minutes after a burglary was reported.
The local constables were patrolling Doddington at 5pm on Monday 26 June 2023, when they got a call about the break-in at a Church Lane property.
They raced to the scene and, armed with the description of some suspects and caught two 16-year-old boys at 5.20pm.
The teens have been bailed until Saturday 8 July while the police probe continues.
The arrests are a major success for Kent Police’s Safer Summer initiative, which is also cracking down on violent crime in the area.
