Kent Police officers are appealing for information following a collision involving a silver Vauxhall Movano van and a grey Italjet motorbike, on an M20 slip road near Maidstone.

The incident happened on the slip road at junction 8 as it approaches the westbound carriageway, at around 8.20am on Wednesday 12 July 2023.

Police and ambulance crews arrived at the scene but the van had left prior to their arrival. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to leg and arm injuries. He has since been discharged.

Later the same day, a 59-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was bailed to return to the police station pending further enquiries.

‘We have been investigating the incident and are now urging witnesses and anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact us.’
