Two men have been arrested after police raided a large cannabis farm in Folkestone on Friday.
Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate searched a unit on the Park Farm Industrial Estate, where they discovered around 1,500 cannabis plants and growing equipment.
The plants, which were at various stages of growth, have an estimated street value of more than £1 million.
The two suspects aged 46 and 31, and both of no fixed address, have been charged with being concerned in the production of the class B drug.
They were due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Detective Inspector James Derham, who led the investigation, said: “This was a significant seizure of cannabis plants that would have generated a large amount of illegal income for those involved.
“We are committed to disrupting the supply of drugs in Kent and will continue to target those who exploit vulnerable people and cause harm in our communities.”
