Flown by air ambulance to a London hospital

Officers are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Chatham involving a motorbike and a female pedestrian.

The incident happened on the northbound carriage of the A229 Maidstone Road, near the Holiday Inn, at around 5.16pm on Wednesday 26 July 2023.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, had been crossing the dual carriageway from east to west, at the time of the collision with the black Kawasaki ZX1000. She was flown by air ambulance to a London hospital where she died on Sunday 30 July.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries and are also urging witnesses and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
