A Maidstone man has been charged with stalking a woman he met through her job, after allegedly sending her numerous phone messages, waiting outside her workplace and confronting her in the town centre.
The 44-year-old suspect appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 1 August and was remanded to a hearing on 25 August.
He is accused of stalking the woman between May and July 2023, causing her serious alarm and distress.
The victim reported the unwanted attention to Kent Police, who arrested a man on 27 July 2023.
