Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found with serious injuries near Herne Bay in the early hours of the morning.

The man, whose identity has not been revealed, was discovered at around 4.40am on 21 July 2023 near where Maypole Road becomes Ford Hill, between Sturry and Broomfield.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Officers are investigating how the man sustained his injuries and whether any other vehicles were involved in the incident.

They are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a small white van, who may have seen what happened or have vital information.

The van, described as a Citroën Berlingo-type vehicle, is believed to have been in the area shortly before the man was found injured.
