Body found in woods near Folkestone identified as missing Ashford man

Police have confirmed that the body of a man found in a wooded area in Stelling Minnis, near Folkestone, on Friday night was that of a 43-year-old man from Ashford who had been reported missing earlier that day.

The man’s family has been informed of the tragic discovery and is being supported by officers.

Formal identification is still pending.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
