Get ready for a fabulous festival of fun and colour as Dover Pride 2023 is coming soon!
This year marks the fifth anniversary of Pride in the town, and the Port of Dover is the lead sponsor of this amazing event. Come and join the parade, party and show your support for Dover’s LGBTQ+ community on Saturday 26th August!
The parade will start from Maison Dieu Gardens and end at the Roman Lawn, where you can enjoy free music, entertainment and a market space with local food and drink pop ups. There will be something for everyone, so bring your family and friends along!
Diederik Smet, Placemaking, Events and Partnerships Manager at the Port of Dover said: “We are thrilled to be a part of Dover Pride 2023, which will be a special day showcasing the inspiring journey of the LGBTQ+ community throughout the years in Dover. With our bustling waterfront now in full swing, plus the town, seafront, and surrounding areas all part of the action, a fantastic day is in store for all.”
But wait, there’s more! You can also get your skates on for a special fringe event on Thursday 24th August organised by the Port. The skate and dance party at the Marina will span across the Marina Curve, Clocktower Square and seafront from 6pm to 8pm. Don’t miss this chance to skate, dance and groove to some awesome tunes!
