Two men have been arrested and charged for their alleged involvement in a series of burglaries that targeted cash and gold jewellery in Thanet and London.
The Kent Crime Squad launched an investigation after receiving reports of thefts from several properties between 18 June and 12 July 2023.
The burglaries took place in Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and London.
On Wednesday 16 August, a 38-year-old man of no fixed address, and and a man aged 33 from Broadstairs, were both charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries.
They appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 17 August and were remanded in custody. They are due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 18 September.
A third suspect, a 33-year-old man from Harlow (Essex), was arrested on Thursday 17 August as part of the ongoing investigation. He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
