A man who was stabbed in Canterbury on Wednesday evening is recovering in hospital after being flown by air ambulance.

Kent Police found him bleeding in Shaftesbury Avenue around 6.50pm and called for medical assistance.

The man had a single stab wound and was taken to hospital. The police believe he knew his attackers, who were arrested shortly after the incident. Two men, aged 18 and 22, and an 18-year-old woman are in custody in connection with the assault.
