Three people have been charged in connection with a serious assault in Canterbury.

At around 6.50pm on Wednesday 16 August 2023, Kent Police found a wounded teenager in Shaftesbury Road, Canterbury. He had a single injury consistent with a stab wound.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance attended and the boy was airlifted to hospital for treatment.

Three people were arrested the same day.

The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charges of attempted murder against a man aged 22 from Canterbury, an 18-year-old man of no fixed address and an 18-year-old man from Canterbury.

The 18-year-old of no fixed address was also charged with one count of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

They have been remanded in custody and were all due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court during the afternoon of Friday 18 August.
