A man aged 47 has been charged with multiple offences following thefts in Herne Bay.
He is charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of a knife and four counts of shoplifting.
The robbery charge relates to an incident where threats were reportedly made to a worker at a shop in the town and alcohol was stolen on Monday 21 August 2023.
The knife charge and two of the shoplifting offences are alleged to have taken place on the same day, with two further shoplifting incidents on Sunday 20 August.
The accused from Herne Bay, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 23 August and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 25 September.
