Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called yesterday afternoon (1 September) to reports of flooded homes and businesses in Chatham, Gillingham and Snodland .
Twenty fire engines were sent after torrential downpours hit Walderslade Road, Nelson Terrace, Mckenzie Road, Hopewell Drive, Sundridge drive, Beechmore Drive, Gorse Avenue in Chatham.
The Recreation Avenue in Snodland and Wheatcroft Grove, Bond Road, Brackwood Close in Gillingham, were also affected where crews used specialist equipment to clear flood water.
