Detectives investigating a suspicious incident involving a possible firearm in Gravesend have arrested two people.

Kent Police was called at 6.10am on Saturday 2 September 2023 to the Pelham Road area of town following a report a man had been seen in possession of a weapon.

A CCTV image of a man was issued as part of the investigation and on the evening of Tuesday 5 September armed patrols attended two separate addresses in Gravesend and arrested a 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old man in connection with the incident.

Both remain in custody as enquiries continue.
