Is your property on this list of suspected stolen goods from Canterbury?

Investigators are appealing to the owners of property suspected to be stolen from the Canterbury area to contact them.

They were seized by officers following the arrest of a man on 2 August 2023, in connection with reports of thefts and burglaries in rural locations.

The constables from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force recovered a total of 57 items including petrol-driven power tools, toolboxes and tools, two trailers and a John Deere ride on mower.

Police Sergeant Darren Walshaw said: ‘We suspect all these items are stolen and are appealing to victims of crime who recognise anything to call us. You will of course be expected to provide proof of ownership before we can reunite you with your property.’

A 35-year-old man was later bailed pending further investigation.

Anyone who thinks they recognise any of the seized property should call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/ZY/16291/23. To reclaim a piece of property, you will need to provide proof of receipt, or describe a unique identifying feature, such as a serial number.
