Detectives have charged a woman with a murder in Maidstone following the death of a 52-year-old man in Lower Boxley Road.
Kent Police was called to the scene at 6pm on Monday 11 September 2023, where the victim was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds by South East Coast Ambulance Service. He was confirmed deceased shortly after. The woman, who was known to the victim, was taken into custody and an investigation commenced by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
In the early hours of Wednesday 13 September, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a charge of murder against a woman from Maidstone. She was also charged with a count of possessing a knife in a public place. The 54-year-old has been remanded in custody and will appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court later today.
