Uncut heroin and nearly £3,000 have been seized by officers during a routine Police patrol in Rochester.

Police from Medway’s Neighbourhood Task Force were on patrol on Saturday 24 September 2023 when they drove to The Fort.

Upon reaching the area they found a man and woman acting suspiciously inside a car and after approaching the vehicle they found drug paraphernalia inside.

The driver and passenger were detained, and officers searched the vehicle.

During the search they found approximately 21g of cocaine, 60g of uncut heroin and £3,000 in cash. Both were arrested on suspicion of drug offences.

The woman, aged 42 from Rochester, was later granted bail, pending further enquiries, and will be required to return to a police station on 12 December.

Peter Mills, 48, of Hayle Road, Maidstone, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 25 September where he was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 23 October.
