A suspect has been charged in connection with an assault in Dover.

Kent Police was made aware by CCTV operators that a woman had been assaulted while in Pencester Gardens during the late afternoon of Friday 6 October 2023.

Patrols made their way to the scene where they made an arrest.

Charged

Following an investigation into the incident, a man aged 35, from Dover, was charged with assaulting a woman; intentional strangulation; assaulting an emergency worker by beating; a racially aggravated public order offence, and assaulting a man.

He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 October 2023 and was remanded in custody. The case will next be heard at the same court on 27 October.
