A suspected drug dealer has been arrested after the manner of his driving caught the attention of officers in Tunbridge Wells.

The incident happened at 5.15pm on Sunday 15 October 2023, as constables from Kent Police’s Proactive Targeting Team were on patrol in the town centre.

Spotting a car travelling erratically they brought it to a stop in Pembury Road and detained the driver for a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The officers recovered a mobile phone and a quantity of suspected cocaine deals inside a sock.

The 25-year-old man from Battersea, London was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and driving without insurance.

He was taken into custody.
