The victim had challenged a man inside the store following suspicions he was trying to steal several bottles of spirits.

The suspect is alleged to have used one of the bottles as a weapon and repeatedly beat the victim around the head, before he fled the scene.

Train to London

Kent Police issued an appeal for information on 19 October, which included a CCTV image of a man officers want to identify and speak to.

Detectives have now recovered further images from a train, which show the same man and which was traveling from Tonbridge to Charing Cross.

DC Jo Slevin of West Kent CID said: ‘We know that the man pictured got off the train at London Bridge and we believe he was travelling with a woman, who is also shown. It is important we identify them, and we continue to urge anyone who may have information to contact us.’
