A 63-year-old man has been charged with carrying out two sexual assaults on the same woman in Ashford.
On Saturday 25 November 2023, it was reported that a woman was approached in a restaurant in the town centre and touched inappropriately over her clothing.
The victim was allegedly assaulted a second time on Thursday 30 November in the same Ashford location.
A swift investigation led to the arrest later that day of a man from Ashford. He was subsequently charged with two counts of sexual assault by touching.
Tirbu appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 1 December and was granted conditional bail to re-appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on 16 August 2024.
