Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at Hawkinge Health Centre in Canterbury Road, in Hawkinge, Folkestone just after midday today, 19 December 2023.
Two fire engines arrived at the scene, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish a blaze in one of the clinical rooms.
No injuries have been reported.
It’s reported the fire caused extensive smoke damage to the premises, and will prevent the centre from opening until further notice.
