A woman has been charged with assaulting police officers following a disturbance in St Margaret’s at Cliffe, Dover.
On Wednesday 27 December 2023, Kent Police was called to Reach Road where it was alleged a woman was acting in an aggressive and threatening manner. Officers arrived and a 63-year-old woman was detained at the scene. It was reported that she also assaulted two police officers whilst in police custody.
She was later charged with one count of using threatening or abusive language and behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress; two counts of assault on an emergency worker, and one count of possession of a class B drug.
She is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 29 December.
